EasyBlog Editor

One of the EasyBlog feature is the ability to change the default editor for composing your blogpost because you might want to use a different editor installed on your site. It is really easy to change and set the default editor of your choice for composing.

This option can be located right under Components > EasyBlog > Settings > Editor > General as shown in the screenshot provided below.

Choose your preferred editor for composing your blogpost and click on Save button to store the changes.

In this section, you will be able to configure the behavior of the composer.

Editor Settings

  • Default Editor
    This option allows you to choose the default editor for users to use on the site. This is a global option that will be applied to everyone on the site.
  • Allow Editing Permalink
    This option allows you to modify the permalink appears below the post title in the composer. If you do not want users to modify the permalink in the composer, you may disable this option.
  • Enable Fields Panel
    This option will trigger the custom fields to be displayed within the EasyBlog composer. Setting this option on allows users to use custom fields while writing their blogpost. If you do not want users to see custom fields option, you may turn this option off.
  • Enable SEO Panel
    This option will trigger the SEO panel to be displayed within the EasyBlog composer. Setting this option on allows user to add and modify the SEO for their blogpost while composing. If you do not want users to see SEO panel, you may turn this option off.
  • Enable Post Templates
    This option will display the post template selection when writing new blogpost. If you do not want users to select post template, you may set this option off.
  • Enable Tagging
    This option determine whether tags selection should be appeared on EasyBlog composer. Setting this option disabled hides the tags selection from appearing in the EasyBlog composer.
  • Maximum Tags Allowed
    This option allows you to set the maximum tags allowed to be added on a blogpost.
  • Maximum Suggested Tags
    This option allows you to set the maximum suggested tags displayed while adding a tags on a blogpost.
  • Enable Virtual Author Alias
    This option allows you to enter an anonymous author's alias for the blogpost. Setting this option on will display an input form for author to enter their alias on EasyBlog composer. If you do not want users to use this feature, you may set this option off.
  • Send Notification Emails
    This option allows you to send notification email when the blogpost is published. Setting this option on will display an option for author to select whether to send notification of their blogpost on EasyBlog composer. If you do not want users to use this feature, you may set this option off.
  • Password Protection
    This option allows you to set password protection for your blogpost. Setting this option on will display a password input form for author to enter their password. If you do not want users to use this feature, you may set this option off.
  • Display Exit Confirmation
    This option determines whether when exiting composer, should a confirmation exit popup dialog be displayed in composer.
