Today, we would like to announce the availability of EasySocial 2.2.3. This update addresses a possible issue with the login form in the administrator area when 2 factor authentication was enabled.
It was brought to our attention by one of our customers, who found a flaw which allows the possibility of bypassing the two-step authentication. EasySocial 2.2.3 also includes the usual bug fixes, minor enhancements and some cool features which we'll go through shortly.
We would like to introduce a brand new app that helps you eliminate spams from users or automated bots. The app would connect to Akismet's database in search for possible spam from populating your social site.
In addition to the brand new Akismet app, the updated CleanTalk app now supports conversations filtering as well, talk about double spam-protection eh?
Not only this handy app looks very similar to EasyBlog's calendar layout, but site admin can now add a menu item for event calendar layout as shown in the screenshot above.
This nifty feature allows admin to showcase the number of hashtags and then position it wherever they see fit, which also means users are able to enjoy hassle-free search related to any particular hashtag.
In EasySocial 2.2.3, admin has the option to choose "user confirmation and admin approval" type for their registration. If enabled, the new user would receive an email confirming their application, which then also requires admin approval as well.
This was one of the feature requests included in EasySocial 2.2.3, admin now have the freedom to set the toolbar color from back-end settings effortlessly, which comes in handy if the default color doesn't suit the entire color scheme of the site.
Site admin can now set the minimum character at the search bar starting from EasySocial 2.2.3, this is simply to narrow down the item searched, especially for words that are case sensitive.
Apart from that, we have also added email notifications to be sent to users whenever their videos encoded successfully. Not to mention, admin can now create template overrides for plugins from EasySocial 2.2.3 onward.
Not forgetting, below are some of the updated apps included in this update:
