You

Are

Great

Just a question: if One are using EasySocial from the App, there are some "integration" with ConverseKit?

Very great Job.

  1. Mark    Vincenzo

Hm, not entirely sure what do you mean here Vincenzo, mind to clarify more about this please?

  1. Vincenzo    Mark

Very difficult for me with my Bad English!

I'll try

In web view you have Inobx and "Chat" (by ConverseKit).

What happen in... This: https://stackideas.com/blog/mobile-app-for-easysocial-and-easyblog ?
(I see that ConverseKit is optimized from mobile, but I want to know if you are planning for an App "per se" - Like Facebook & Messenger, seperated even when the two was integrated from web view).

Hope it's clear now.

@Vincenzo: Rather than having the ConverseKit app separate from EasySocial, it would be be great if the ES app supported both. I'm not a fan of how Facebook had the messenger app separate from the site. To make it worse, on mobile view they only let you message people via the app.

From a user's point of view it makes a lot of sense accessing a single site from that app as opposed to needing multiple apps for a single site.

Agree with you! Facebook is a different story 'cause they're pushing on Messenger for big commercial purpose.

Here we want maximum usability... In fact I'm waiting for an EasySocial Customizable App that bring all together Mobile view and great job of Appcarvers are awesome but I think they could improve in sense of intuitiveness and usability.

[Example: Easy Social App have inbox and notification in lateral bar, inside a very long list of other features]

But all this it was just...

(in fact I'll purchase ConverseKit in the next days... ). I was totally confident from the moment I see these post.

you better wait for the v1.0.4. right now there are some pity (hardcoded translations, wrong status indications ...) problems in the tool

  1. Josh Lewis    Vincenzo

@n00bster: Stackideas always addresses the issues at hand. By being a participant before a release you get to identify issues not found from other members, hence making the software even more stable than if you simply just waited. Software issues will always arise no matter how amazing it is, Stackideas will come to the rescue.

ConverseKit 1.0.4 will be out soon to address these teething bugs.

Some input that I think can be good for user experience:

> Emoticon in Messaging
> Hyperlink (doesn’t functions now)
> Attachement -> Can only be sent if you write something; it would be useful to send them even in the absence of text

and for Admin:

> Possibility for simple modification of color/font in Settings from Back End
> Possibility of choosing chat bar instead of chat icon

  1. Keren    Vincenzo

Hi Vincenzo,

Thanks for your input. I agree that chat without Emoticon is quite boring though, we will add this in the near future. Since Conversekit is still very young, there're quite a number of features could be explored to bring in. We always welcome your ideas heartily!

Hi Guys,

When a user is typing a message, does the recipient see s/he us typing a response? Like in all messaging apps these days.

Jordan

  1. Keren    Jordan Weinstein

Hi Jordan, we would like to bring in this cool feature very much, however we postponed that idea for future release as currently we yet to experiment optimization of CPU usage by the notification update.

We afraid that showing the user typing status would lower down the system performance. Anyway no worries, once we get things sorted out, surely will add this!

Cheers

Will this work well if a person is using a CDN?

  1. Mark    Sean Carney

It should work fine with most cdn

  1. Sean Carney

Also, does it come with a module to place it anywhere on the site? ie. I would want to get it onto the homepage somehow to let people know and my homepage is not an EasySocial page.

  1. Mark    Sean Carney

Nope, it doesn't have a module but once you have published ConverseKit, it will then appear on all of the pages on your site

I installed ConverseKit and really like it. I do have one thing on my wish list for ConverseKit as follows:

I love the little chat icon at the bottom of every page on the web site. I just wish that icon could show up for all pages regardless of whether somebody was logged into EasySocial. The idea I have is that if somebody is logged in then ConverseKit works like normal and if a person is NOT logged in then as the click on the chat icon they get invited to register or login.

Thanks for...

Thanks for considering this. That way people visiting would know that messaging is part of the site, even if they have not signed up yet for an account.

Thanks for your input on this Sean, it would be much appreciated if you could post this in the feature requests area for ConverseKit at https://stackideas.com/forums/conversekit/feature-requests

Two other little input for you (is it okay to write them here? Or there is a dedicated board for suggestion about this plugin?):

> When you enter in a chat, now the first messages of the conversation is seen, so you have to scroll down to see new messages. It would be better to see the first non read messages.

> It seems that now it doesn't accept the RETURN, and in a long text the paragraph are glued together.

Thank you again for your great work.

Oh, okay, I read now Mark's comment #8124 for suggestion. I copy them there.

  1. Stan Chomer

Can you send conversations to selected groups too or just to selected recipients and "all in the site"?

  1. Keren    Stan Chomer

Hi Stan Chomer,

You may send conversations to all recipients in a conversation. You may add these recipients from your contact.
