No notification email after comment approval

Hello,

I have an issue with notifications. I'm using Komento 1.8 on K2. I have set the system to require approval before publishing a comment (for guests and registered) and administrator should receive an email on pending comments and published comments. I also have enabled notifications for content author and subscribers.
It works fine for the administrator and notifications are always sent. But the content author and subscribers get no email and there is nothing in the MailQ for them.
If I submit a comment using administrator, who needs no approval and comments are published immediately, then the author and subscriber receive emails.
