Do I really need to pay extra to have ED activity show in ES stream???

I was trying to figure out why ED wasn't showing up in ES stream so I searched and came across this

Somebody please tell me this isn't true! I will be extremely disappointed in StackIdeas if it is. I am moving sites from Jomsocial to ES and this will be infuriating.
