Memorial Day : Let's Remember The Fallen

Memorial Day : Let's Remember The Fallen

The last Monday of each May marks the Memorial Day; a day where the United States of America have decided to declare as the day where we specially remember the those who fall while serving the US Armed Forces. Those people lived, breathe, bleed, and died, for the sake of the United States of America.

Putting aside race, religion, creed, and nationality, I strongly believe that the people who fought and died to defend their country are martyrs. They are the brave ones who are willing to give up their lives so that we can live ours in peace. A one day memorial is not enough, but it's a good start to teach ourselves, our children, and our generation to come, on how these men and women pledged their loyalty and gave up their lives just so we are able to be free.

Freedom, apparently, is not free.

While this day marks the day to remember the fallen from USAF, let's not limit ourselves and remember those who fell for our own country. They shall always be remembered, be it in our songs, stories, or prayers. Thank you for everything!

We are giving out a 20% discount on both new purchase and renewals for this day. The coupon code is :

Coupon code is open to all purchase and will only be valid for 24 hours so it's best if you make haste and use it on either your renewal or new purchases. :)

EasySocial 1.4 update

Moving along with our updates, EasySocial 1.4 is currently in development mode and while Mark is away for Joomla Day China, I felt inclined towards updating the development of the next EasySocial. Here are some of the cool new features that awaits :

Video support

Videos can now be uploaded to EasySocial (yay!) and shared amongst friends.

Create and vote polls in stream

Users can now create polls, and vote for their friend's poll, from their own activity stream.

Ability to send out reminder email to inactive members

Not all of our users will actively engage in our social networking site. A question arises on how to reach out to those who are not active. In EasySocial 1.4, we've prepared the option for site admin to reach out to these users via email.

Apart from adding up those new features, we will also enhance EasySocial to provide a much more rich and powerful experience. Here are some of the enhancements :

  • Users are able to upload attachment in comments.
  • Backend's themes will go through an enhancement processes.
  • User can now compose messages to users that are not in their friends list.
  • User can now favourite their friend’s photo album.

There aren't any super-cool screenshots as these are still work-in-progress and I have not received the clearance from the developers on sharing the screenshot with you guys. I promise you that I will try to get more visual on these and share with you guys on the next update.

Feel free to share your thoughts and opinion in the comment section. :)
