EasySocial & EasyBlog Updates

EasySocial & EasyBlog Updates

Happy November folks! How time flies, we have about less than 2 months left in 2017. This weekend, our team has put together maintenance updates for EasyBlog, EasySocial, Mobile web template and Echo template.

EasySocial 2.1.4 update address mostly teething issues and some performance enhancements, for instance EXIF data support for upload images, php 5.3.29 compatibility and so on. For something new, we added the ability to use custom cover and avatar for groups, events and pages.

In line with EasySocial 2.1 update, EasyBlog 5.1.14 now has a similar back-end look to EasySocial, fixed a possible jQuery conflict with EasySocial and for most parts bug fixes. You may refer refer to the changelog links below,

Echo & Mobile Web Template Updated

The updated Echo template contain mostly teething issues with EasySocial 2.1 compatibility, especially with the new EasySocial structure, sidebar and module position-7 were overlapping with other profile header.

As for the updated Mobile web template, we have a couple of users experiencing difficulty completing the fields on the registration form on Android mobile devices, it should appear correctly now.

Head over to the Orders Page to download these updated templates and install it today!

Events Review App

In addition to our extensions and templates updates, the Event Reviews app was recently added to our app store. This app allows event users to submit reviews and star ratings on any events in EasySocial. It is made available for only one-time payment of $25.

With 2.1, we added the ability to upload shortcut icons for mobile devices :) Some people prefer to disable this and it can be turned off in the settings now under Settings > Layout.

We are getting there soon! It's really challenging because we are using a framework for the first time but I believe once we have the first template with Helix, everything will be much smoother after this :)

Thanks for continually looking after and upgrading your miracle products...

...I really don't get this bit of the changelog though on EasySocial:

Users can now properly choose 31st February in birthday field during registration

31st February?!?!?!?!?

Ah, it looks like the person that was working on the changelog must have misunderstood it :( I will fix that. It's basically for a fix that prevents user from choosing 31st of February in the calendar :p

So happy that you are using Helix and that people then also can use power of SP Pagebuilder for their whole site system. Thats a win/win situation for all Joomlers and Stackideas customers/users too! Fantastic!
