EasyBlog 5 Beta 2 Comes With Mobile View

EasyBlog 5 Beta 2 Comes With Mobile View

We are living in times where everything is at the tip of our finger. Mobility is the key to ensure that software are able to provide the best experience to our users. Having said that, EasyBlog 5 beta 2 is finally here; now with Mobile View support. Less new features means that EasyBlog 5 is near completion. You can check out the original plan via the timeline table here.

Shaping Mobile Blogging

For EasyBlog 5 beta 2, our main goal was to ensure that EasyBlog 5 supports the mobile view. It was very tricky at first; the trickiest part being the blocks. However, our team of dedicated designers and developers are able to ensure the mobility of EasyBlog 5. Lo and behold, the mobile view. :)

We have also ensure that both EasyBlog 5 beta 2's front-end and back-end receives the best mobile view without sacrificing any of the features that we have implemented. This is very tricky to achieve as it involves the balance between usability and UX/UI. For some of you who works in software development, you will know how UX/UI and usability is the one of the hardest part to develop. It's not easy to please everyone! :)

Redesigned Block's Workflow

The first version of EasyBlog 5 introduces the concept of "drag-n-drop", where we show how easy it is to use the new blocks. Applying any elements on your blog post can be as easy as dragging the element and drop it in any section of your composers. Our main target is to ensure that you do not have to go through the HTML codes in order to beautify your blog.

Nevertheless, for the mobile view, we tweaked the workflow and allows "tap-n-drop", where users are able to tap a block, and move it to any section of their blog by tapping on it. This flow can even be used in the desktop version of EasyBlog 5. Give it a try! :)

Bugs Crushed To Smithereens

We have crushed approximately 50+ bugs since EasyBlog 5 beta 1 release. The developers were working day and night to ensure a much more stable EasyBlog. We strongly believe that this particular beta version EasyBlog 5 is near completion; this might even be the last beta version before we release the Release Candidate (RC) version. The more report comes in, the more stable the RC and final version will become so do your best in testing the current beta version of EasyBlog 5.

Before you download and check out EasyBlog 5 beta 2, please be advice that this is a beta version and hence we highly advice for you to refrain from installing this on your live site.

You can grab EasyBlog 5 beta 2 via the Download button. Seeing that only active license holders are able to download this, do ensure that your license is updated. :)

Feel free to pen down any comments that you have. For any bug reports, do share with us via EasyBlog 5's Issue Tracker page.

Hi,

Yesterday I have installed this version of EB. For the time being I am exploring the many options. But that is a little bit confusing too. Where to start !??
So, do you have already some documentation?

Kind regards, T.W. van Urk

Well done guys, it looks awesome!!!! And the progress is great as it has been quite some time since you first mentioned EB5.

BTW, any chance of WhatsApp integration for sharing and notifications, etc?

We would like to provide the option of getting updates, notifications and alerts via WhatsApp or eMail.

See: http://whatsapp-sharing.com/

Most of our current user base has WhatsApp and prefer that to email.

Anyone done...

As many of us here I'm making a huge patience exercise expecting a "Go Production" post...

I don't know if you stated this before but I would like to know if I use this Beta versions they will be upgradeable to the final release without loosing data.

Could you make a clear statement on this?

Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, if you update to the beta, the data would remain intact. However, do expect slight / major changes on the html structure (If you are customizing the layout)

Hi

Easy upgrade and seems to be a lot more stable, i presume the powered by message will be gone once stable and pro version released (current package i have)

Hello Andy,

Yep, that is correct. Our automated package builder is not able to identify "pro" or "community" version currently and it would be time consuming to build each beta packages. Once it is stable, it would automatically be able to differentiate them

Hi Max,

Thank you for your inquiry. EasyBlog 5 is currently under beta version hence we do not recommend for you to use it on your live site. I'd suggest for you to use the stable EasyBlog 3.9 instead, while waiting for the stable release of EasyBlog 5.

EasyBlog is a blogging tool which runs on Joomla. This means that you would have to install Joomla on your server first. Once Joomla is set up, install EasyBlog using Joomla's extension manager.

Hi Folks,
You're really delivering a great job, I still have to get used to the complete new interface, but it certainly brings EB to a next level.

Question: Will EB5 right away be equally intergrated with ES? Like will the (team)albums from ES be visible to EB5 Media, just as it is today? So that we can add a gallery in a post ig based on pictures from a ES (team)album?

Thanks for the update, looking forward to use it....

Regards,
Luc

Hi Luc,

Thank you for your inquiry. Talked to the developers and they have informed me that EB5 is already integrated with EasySocial.
