EasyBlog 5 : A Closer Look At Composer

EasyBlog 5 : A Closer Look At Composer

As stated by Mark on our previous EasyBlog 5's update, I'm writing about one of the cool features that are available in EasyBlog 5's composer. For those who's still in the dark, we've build a completely new composer for EasyBlog 5 and it's one of the crème de la crème features for it. Seeing that it's a very, very huge feature, it will take a lifetime for me to blog everything about it. I'll take one 'mini features' (if you may call it) to talk about: the new composer's text editor.

Resizing Text

One of the cool features about the composer is how you resize your text. I have my own personal blog and I am quite annoyed that I cannot edit my text's size apart from using the paragraph option to resize my text size or to insert an inline CSS. One of the vision for the new composer is to make it as a simple tool for those who wishes to use simple tasks (like resizing the text) but still retains the flexibility for the more advanced users.

Making videos will take a lot of time (we've learnt that the hard way!). Here's a .gif that we've managed to create to show you about text resizing.

As you can see, you can resize your text size by using a slider instead of a drop down menu. You will no longer have to use 'paragraph' or get your hands dirty with inline codes. This, my friend, will save lots of your time. Trust me on this.

Managing Multiple Links

Links are such a pain if you ask me. If I have three links in one sentence (example : Stack Ideas's Twitter, Facebook, and Google Plus pages), you will need to highlight one text at a time in order to edit it. In the example above, if I want to fix the link in both 'Twitter' and 'Facebook', I would have to do it one at a time.

Imagine if you have more than 5 links. Sure is a pain, isn't it?

We have the solution here in EasyBlog 5 :

Editing links in EasyBlog 5 EB5 N5XT

Yes, it's that easy. Just highlight all the links, our Composer is smart enough to gather those links in one 'form' so that you are able to edit or remove any links that you prefer. We are definitely sure that this is a time-saver especially for a marketer (like me!). You can also use this feature to check all of the links that you've used in one article. Truly something to look forward to.

Subscript

Good news to all chemist! You will no longer have to use any Alt-code when you wanted to write your formula. Watch how you can write formulas, like H2O, using EasyBlog 5's composer :

I believe this is also a good news to our mathematician friends. :)

Other Updates

We are nearly done with the EasyBlog 5. The composer is one of the most complex feature that we've ever code. However, the Stack Ideas team always pushes ourselves to provide the best to our users. We are 101% sure that EasyBlog 5 will worth the wait. It's also worth mentioning that EasyBlog 5 Alpha version will be available to the active license holders, so if you want to be from amongst the early-adopters, you can (and should!) renew your license or get a new EasyBlog license.

You can take advantage of the current promotion coupon code that we have with our friends at BowThemes. In case you've missed it, the coupon code is :

STACKBOW20

With this coupon code, you'll get a 20% discount off from EasyBlog purchase. Quite a good offer in my humble opinion, considering that you will be getting EasyBlog 5 should your license is active when we release the EB5 Alpha version. :)
