I have been trying to use EasyBlog categories module in a sidebar but it is not working too well. So, I thought I would put in a feature request for consideration. I know that EasyBlog displays subcategories above the EasyBlog posts in the EasyBlog category pages. Unfortunately I had to turn that off because it displays all categories, even if they are empty. It also takes up quite a bit of the real estate above the fold.

So, here are my wishes for EasyBlog Categories Module:

I would like the count mechanism to be improved.
Currently if you have a post placed in four categories it is counted as four posts instead of one post.

I would like to be able to hide categories with no posts.
Currently this option is in the module but when I select Yes for "Hide categories with no post" then all categories are hidden except for the one top category.

I would like to hide the folder icons.
Currently folder icons are displayed by default and can be hidden with some css tweaks. I would like an option to not show the category folder icons.

I would like the Subcategory links to open the actual nested subcategory with proper subcategory url.
Currently clicking on a subcategory opens a view with the posts displayed that are in that category but the url that is displayed is not the nested url of the category. This would allow for use of the same subcategory name under different categories.

I would like to see the Category and Subcategories display in nested order.
Currently I select "Item Ordering" for the Ordering field but it appears to be in a random order.

I would like to be able to limit the levels of subcategories displayed.
Currently it seems that all subcategories are displayed.

I want to use this module to create a listing of child categories. Basically I like to display just the children but not the grandchildren. :-)

I have been playing with one instance of the module on the following page: http://drc.cloudaccess.host/data in the sidebar1 position.

I will try to leave that instance there for awhile in case you all want to see it. :-)

Thank you so much,

Sean Carney
