When you unpublish a category the child articles are still available in search

When i disable a category I expect that all of the content below it is disabled too. This includes all of the sub categories and articles. But this is not happening.

I would also would expect the permissions to be inherited so i could configure a category to only be shown to my staff including all of the articles and catgories below it withou have to set this on each item. This is a basic thing of Joomla.

Am I doing something wrong or is this feature missing.

NB: i was using the EasyBlog search module and version 5.1.15
