users of a specific profile are unable to see all notifications or all conversations from their toolbar

Hi,

I have two kinds of profiles, and people from one of those profiles are unable to see all notifications or all conversations from their toolbar. They are redirected to the home page with error message: you are not allowed to access.

also, after posting a message to another profile member, the system tells that the message is sent, but the button to view the conversation also leads to this error message on the home page.

I assume this is an ACL setting somewhere but I cannot find it.
and I assume the buttons All conversations or ALL notifications is just THEIR conversations/notifications, and not ALL from the whole site, right?

any tips where to look for the answer for solving this error?


oops found it. had a menu item with special rights instead of registered.
