Understanding Easy Discuss & Easy Discuss "Group" App?

I guess my question in its simplest form is this…

Assuming that I have ES/ED & the ED Group Discussion App installed

Can I have:

1) A dedicated Group/Forum for e.g. “Simons Cat”
2) Can I post a discussion in the group “Simons Cat” and select a Category XYZ
3) Have this discussion that I posted in the Group “Simons Cat” in Category XYZ turn up on an ED Forum page?
