ugly run-on formatting when using "JCE" setting for composing discussions

In Easy Social I have the field Applications->Discussions->composing->Editor set to JCE. Within that scenario, when I compose a discussion, the toolbar is still that for BBCode. When the text is saved, it displays as run-on text with the BBCode tags left in place. In contrast, when I change the setting to BBCode editor, I still have the same toolbar for editing but when I save, the BBCode tags are converted correctly and I get the formatting I expected.

So my current solution is to use just th BB editor. But I really would like to offer a richer set of formatting options (such as what I find in JCE), so I would like the JCE option to work.
