Timeline Filter - URL

So, my question is if there is a way to pass a URL or something that will have one of the Post Types auto-selected when sending the user to a page? For example... maybe I want to send my users to the timeline, but I want VIDEOS to be selected by default.

Is that possible? If so, how?
