The Profile URL changes when user is edited on the backend

We are having an issue where if we edit a User on the backend the URL is getting changed and is no longer valid. We've discovered that we don't even need to change anything, the simple act of opening and then saving it changes the URL that is returned on the front-end.

For example, if I searched for Dewight in EasySocial before editing and looked at the properties of the URL it would be http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/dconnerley and when clicked would take you to Dewight's profile. When we opened it on the back-end and saved it and then searched on the frontend again for it the URL was now http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/14 and took us to our home page. We opened it again on the backend and saved it and the URL changes again, this time to http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/121. The number on the end doesn't seem to correspond to any ID that we can find. If I attempt to go any of these URLS I am taken to my home page rather than to the users Profile. If I attempt to use the original URL (http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/dconnerley that had worked) it also returns me to my home page and not their profile. I can, however, get to their profile if I use the URL http://10.0.1.142/joomla/index.php/fsbt-social-connections/community/profile/761, where 761 is their actual user ID in Joomla/EasySocial users.

We are utilizing EasyBlog, EasyDiscuss, Komento and EasySocial. Wherever possible we have told the extensions to use EasySocial as the authenticator, avatar, profile, etc...

The only way we can make it work is if we have the users edit their profile from the front-end. Which we really want to just do it for them on the backend so the corporate photo is utilized. Any thoughts of where to look would be greatly appreciated. Question #94024 seems to comment about similar things but I didn't see a resolution that works for us. Thanks!
