Hi.

I had an old version of Easyblog that was working fine, but I was encouraged to upgrade to the newest version. According to my download page, this version works from Joomla 1.6 up through to the current versions.

I have a Joomla 1.7 site (yes I know, it's old, but my client likes the template and doesn't want to pay to upgrade...). Anyway, I have gone through the install process and it gets to step 4 (addons) and stays at 0% for hours without moving.

I've tried unchecking all of the plugins etc, essentially skipping the addon installation section, and it completes the install including cleanup and then gives me the option to go to the frontend or the backend. I have tried both options, but the screen is always white. If I log back in to my joomla installation, it shows easyblog in the components list, but when I click on any of the options, I get a white screen. I've also tried installing picking some of the options and I get the 0% issue again.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled easyblog several times. Each time with the same results. My php us up to date, as is mysql. My server is a linux based and I didn't have any issue with the old version of easyblog. Should I try the old install again?

I'd love some help on this one.

Thanks!
