Setting Up Email Parser

Hello,
this is the first time I’m going to install EasyDiscuss on my site, I have some difficulties to understand the role of "Setting Up Email Parser" option

Do I need to create a specific email box for EasyDiscuss? Is this an email box reserved for forum administrators? Is this email box used for the transition of all emails related to the forum?

Can you give me a concrete example of this option?
