Sbscribe Module Question

I notice that this module had not been working properly. It had the option set to 'normal hyperlink'. However, when I tested this by pressing the link button, it doesn't open up a subscribe popup. I have currently set the option to 'Email and Name form'. I could not see a further configuration for the 'normal hyperlink' option. Please advise me.
