Recent Users (who have never logged in before!)

On the 'Recent Users' part of my community stream view, it's full of new user account avatars which when you hover on them it says 'Never Logged In'

This of course looks bad!

I know there has been more recent user activity (just going from the activity stream.. things happening since those new accounts created)... do you know why it wouldn't be picking up more recent logins... and shouldn't 'never logged in' be exempted from this display?
