Questions on setting up the importer....

We are setting up EasyBlog to automatically bring in content from key contributors - originally published on their own outside blogs. But we are struggling with understanding the best ways to make the feed importer work for us.

Here are some of the questions we haven't been able to fully figure out yet - any help or guidance on this would be much appreciated:

+ If “Publish Item” is set to “No” in the importer, does that give us a chance to manually approve/process items? How would we go about doing this? What is the editorial workflow possibilities?

+ What does the “Store content as” in the Easyblog importer mean? What is the difference between "Introtext" and "Main Text"?

+ What are the implications of the “Get full text from feed” setting in the importer? This seems to scrape the site exporting site regardless of whether they have the full text is in the RSS - is this right? Could we potentially use this to get full text imports from sites that are only sharing excerpts in RSS.

+ Is there a way to set the defaults in the EasyBlog importer so we don’t have to tweak them every time we add a new feed? The current defaults don’t link back to the original site, and we never want to accidentally not set that.

+ Can we make global changes to the “allowed HTML” that we want to support for importing - such as allowing Blockquotes?

+ How does the importer deal with a blogger editing a post on their blog? Deleting a post? What keeps it in sync? What avoids duplicates?

+ Can we in some way better manage importing just excerpts that link back to the original post? An ideal excerpt would be the first few paragraphs and the first image, followed by a link to the original post. What would it take to automate generating this?

Any feedback from others who have used EasyBlog in this way would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
