Late last year, an awesome new feature was introduced for chrome which allows websites to send push notifications to desktop browsers, and more importantly, to web browsers. These notifications look and feel like notifications coming from an app which would help reduce the need (and the cost) for having a mobile app for our sites. Users would need to agree to receive these, and once they do, they wouldn't need to have chrome active in order to received them.
I feel like this is an amazing opportunity for us to come together and support the idea so that the team at stackideas can consider developing it for one of their future updates.
