While this is a very tiny request, I created a voice page for the staff of Stackideas. 
Currently when updating my profile it sends me to: http://test.peakbeta.com/profile
While this technically works, it would be ideal to have the permalink version: http://test.peakbeta.com/joshlewis
The primary advantage is linking. People who are not familiar with how URL's work may end up trying to link to the generic link after making changes to their profile. This will result in many people attempting to link to their profile, but actually just linking to a page that guests are not allowed to view. Plus it would be more elegant to see your permalink instead of the generic name.
A real life scenario is if someone really enjoys your site, decides to join, fills out a lot of profile information, and then links to it from social media. Less broken links to your site is always a good thing.
