Problem with Cron Job

I have everything set up and it seems as though the cron job is running. My issue is that Remote Publishing doesn't seem to be picking up the new email posts. I do not think the notifications are being sent out either.
The web host service is HostGator. I had them enable wget and correct the path for the cron job:

wget -O /dev/null "http://mysite.com/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=cron";

Any assistance with this would be most appreciated.
