Privacy setting for name field

Currently the name field doesn't have any privacy setting options. So that means every visitor of the site can see the (real) name of that person. This is not something that should be possible. A member of the site should be able to have control of that field and determin who can see his/her (real) name. Internet nowadays is a place where people can be anonymous online and do their thing without anyone knows his/her realname.
