preselected category in composer

Hello :)

I wonder if there's a way to dynamically change the auto-selected category in the category list inside the composer? I know it always selects the category you select with the "star" in the backend list, but i try to get it to work so the system dynamically sets that "pointer" to "in which category is the user right now?" instead of that one selected category in the list.

Right now i could set it to some kind of "collective category" so every poster that is to lazy to select the specific category just posts it in there and then later on the user or i have to move it to the right category, but it would be a great time saver if you could just let the script for the auto-selected category inside the composer point to -for example- the last category the user was looking at.

I'm looking through the files to find the specific code that points to that "star" in the category list but i guess when you just change that value by looking at where a user is right now whenever he clicks on "post something" it would just make a big mess with the system because it would change it system-wide for everyone all the time, not only for this one user?

So maybe there's an easier way to dynamically change what's auto selected at first in the list whenever someone posts something?
