Pre-purchase query - EasySocial

Hi, i'm looking into some solutions that are required for a new site i will be working on. One of the features for it is to have a members area where users can upload their files and share information - though there will likely be different groups so users can only be members off and access the info within their individual group. The idea is to sell membership to the public though i don't think EasySocial offers this feature yet (any idea how long until its ready) or are there any third party membership systems that will work with it?

Can EasySocial do what's required? thanks.
