Hi there,

We just purchased and installed EasyBlog and we have some questions as we started working with it (we followed the few tutorials found in your website as well). Our domain is penaltara.com.

We summarised our preliminary questions herebelow:

1. We noticed that in the directions you say that the following extensions are required:
PHP Extensions: Curl (For Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn integrations) , GD2 (For image resizing)

We don't have them installed. Are these mandatory to be installed? It seems that social buttons work anyway. Is this correct?

2. With regards to the response time required, as per your requirements included in the directions this should be:
PHP: 60 seconds Maximum execution time [max_execution_time = 60] (For installation)

We have Godaddy host and this is 120. Is this a major problem?

3. Once we went to create a new blog post we noticed the following problems:
a) Please see attachment 1. On the top left once we click on the add post, this is not working. The system shows the loading gear while it processes the command but it leads to nowhere. Dead end.

b) Once we put a title and a text and click on the "publish post" button we receive every time the following notifications: "Unexpected token <" & "Unexpected end of token". And once we refresh the page the blog is submitted despite the fact that we received the notification. PLease see attachment 2. PLease note that the text was pasted using the command "Paste as plain text" therefore not any other characted was pasted along with the text. We received the same notification even when the text was typed by us.

c) Following the above issue once this is corrected, what will happen if a blogger pastes a text without using the command "Paste as plain text"? Will this break the code? Taking into account that the blog post is published even though the notification is displayed.

4. In the back end, once we approve an article through the EasyBlog admin panel (through components > easyblog > posts > pendings) this ends to a blank page. If we refresh the page, the blank page continues to be displayed. If we select from the browser "go back to previous page" then the article is displayed as approved. We had the same problem once we tried to move some blog posts from one category to another (through components > easyblog > posts and then selecting the action "move" in order to move them to another category).

5. We noticed a youtube video that EasyBlog offers the creation of blog posts using drag and drop features https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-YEli-NK-w
In the latest version of EasyBlog purchased we have not come across this feature (as per image 1). Have we not installed the latest version? We installed version 5.0.14.

6. We deleted the uncategorised category that came along with the installation of EasyBlog. Once deleted, we faced the following issue once we went to create a blog post. Please see image 3. Did this break the code? We uninstalled and reinstalled EasyBlog extension but the problem persists.

7. We selected the JCE editor as the default editor. Once we go to insert a picture, the JCE editor window that pops up as per attachment 4 is not displayed in full size and we cannot scroll down the window to reach the upload button, at the bottom right corner of the window. Probably these two are not compatible?

8. How we can put the blog posts to be displayed in 3 columns in the following page?
http://www.penaltara.com/blog

9. We would like the home page to be as a newspaper one i.e. http://www.msn.com/el-gr/
For this case it is preferable that the blog posts are converted to articles as well. We installed the plugin "plg_easyblogautoarticle_3.9.2_free" but it does not seem to work. The plugin has been checked through the plugin manager and it is enabled. Any ideas why this is not working?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Phivos Constantinou
