Pinned Items Ability to Change the Default Sort

Currently, when you pin an item the very first item that you pin will be the first on top. When you pin another it will be second and so on...

Would it be nice to provide an ability to choose the sort setting? If not in the back end settings maybe the ability to drop n drop the item to sort manually.
