Scenario: You have for whatever reason initially setup with highest quality image settings on your site.

After hundreds, or thousands of users join, notice your backups and overall website size is mostly attributed to the albums folder. If you use a system like Akeeba backup, youll quickly see how large it can get with even 6-700 users. Upwards of 1000 or 2 and it gets crazy large.

I have put into use a painful process for re sampling these folders- in case anyone is interested I basically download the whole set of directories, note the current added folders since my last cycle and only optimize them to avoid resampling previous ones to ugly oblivion. Its slow, despite using an automated batch program though.

What is the chance we could get a script added to maintenance section to reflect new adjusted settings for image size/quality? Or even resetting "remove/keep originals"? I hope what I'm asking for makes sense. Even an automated update if the Admin changes the settings so it can retroactively handle files already there would be great too.
