Password not sent during user registration

Hi,

When user registers, an email is sent to the registered user but the password is not send to the user.
I see that the password_clear value is sent but this variable doesn't come up with a a value.
Any help is much appreciated.

and yes, 'Display clear text passwords' is set to 'yes' in administrator.
