Override not working though overwriting file works

Hey there,

trying to rework all overrides I got on 2.0.x but suddenly an unforseen problem occured. When trying to override /media/com_easysocial/apps/user/events/events.php with template/html/com_easysocial/apps/user/events/events.php it is not working. Is there something wrong with the override path?

Overwriting the file directly makes my changes appear on the site but overriding gives no effect.
