I don't need a fix for my site - just letting you know so you can consider fixing in core build...
Currently the 'New Event Created' email for Super Admin has links to the 'pending' back-end events - presumably this is relevant when events require approval.
Doesn't make much sense when events are set to auto-approve... maybe simple links to the site at the front-end would be better (ah - I see the issue though, those wouldn't be active if event requires approval!.... may be no links at all then.. unless the email generator can determine whether the event is approved already or not!)
