Multiple image upload problem on iOS devices

Hi,

First, I want to say I'm loving EasyDiscuss! I'm using it to develop a family tree website, and I'm doing most of the development through my iPad. However, I ran into a problem today when trying to add two images as attachments to a post.

When uploading from an iPad or iPhone, Chrome or Safari always names an image "image.jpg". This means I'm unable to attach more than one image to a post, and I suspect it means I can't add another image to any OTHER post for now since either the first "image.jpg" file will be overwritten, or perhaps it won't be uploaded at all since the filenames aren't unique.

I know it's not really your fault, but since many people will be using EasyDiscuss with mobile devices, and since the fix should be really easy, I'm hoping you can do something about it. The fix would just involve assigning a unique filename to each upload (for example, the current date and time.)

Here's a solution that another Joomla extension developer came up with:

http://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/53-cfv4/cfv4-file-uploads/3739-multiple-file-uploads-from-an-ipadiphone-dont-work-.html

In that solution, a script checks to see if a filename already exists. If it does, it appends a number to the new file to ensure the filename is unique.

Hoping you can help with this...

Cheers,
Chris
