Currently on search page - we typically get thins like:
4 results found based on your search keyword. Some items might not appear to you due to the item's privacy.
What has really happened in this case is Privacy hasn't hidden anything (as per settings on my site - but the FILTERS have). The above implies privacy is hiding something and it isn't always the case!
Proposed solution:

ACTUALLY THOUGH thinking a bit further - is it actually a RISK to privacy to say how many total results are returned. FOR EXAMPLE if you wanted to know if MARK LEE was a member of a certain site, and he was but he wanted to keep it private.... he'd set his privacy to private... then you'd search for MARK LEE and be told "Yep we've found 1 result... but hey, it's private so we're not going to show you who it is"..... Do you see what I mean???!!!!
So maybe EasySocial shouldn't say how many total results come back AT ALL... instead:
