Managing an event on the day of the event

Hi there, I am using events heavily on my site and basically on the day of the event I was wondering if you have any plans to manage events better. Right now events are fine for listing events but there is so much more to the life cycle of an event. What I mean by this is on the day of an event I need to be able to do a few things:

- I need to be able to see a list of the attendees and either export it to csv file so that I can check them in on the day and get name tags ready etc. These would be mostly corporate events and this is a requirement.

Any ideas around this would be much appreciated.
