I am using EasyBlock on a preschool website and we using category blogs and restricing access by using Joomla groups. The director of the school wants the parent to receive notification emails everytime a new blog is posted to their category and the best way I can think of to ensure this is through subscriptions. The director also wants to be able to manage subscriptions from the backend only and wants to set up category subscriptions for all parents. I searched the forum and found the post linked below that notes this is not a possible to add category subscriptions from the back end but it can be done by editing the database. Where can I find instructions on editing the database? I have not set up the users on the site yet or and subscribers but would like instructions that I can follow once I do set them up.

Thanks
Joye
