Making a Twitter link out of URL profile field

Is there any way to make a custom profile field that allows a user to to enter their Twitter name so that on their profile, the twitter name is converted to http://www.twitter.com/NAME to link directly to their stream. Perhaps a simple modification of the URL field could do this.
