Hello Stack Ideas Team:
We have a client whose forum is dedicated only to its members. They have to login to view the forum. When a post is made, an email goes out to all members about this post. As you know, there is a link in the email that says Read This Discussion.
When a member clicks on this button, it takes them to a login page. Upon logging in, they are directed to the main page of the forum, not the topic.
Can we change this?
Could it be that we have another login system on the site for their membership system or, perhaps, the Joomla login is conflicting?
I was told before that the only way I could have the email link directly go to the discussion was making the forum public but as a hidden menu item. This is not a good solution as some of the areas within the forum are membership business.
I appreciate any assistance.
