login box keeps closing

on the easydicuss page there is a login button in the toolbar displaying a lock icon. when you hover the mouse over it the login box will open. This is great however the behavior is unpredictable. As one types in the username and password the box will close and its extremely frustrating because it is almost impossible to get all the info in before the box closes. Can we remove the hover effect and just make it a clickable button? therefore when you click, the login box is open. when you click again the box will close.
