I think that it is great to show items ONLY for member's same country. I use EasySocial only in my country now, and it isreally great. Now, we are going to other countries. Eg, if someone is from Italy, then it is nice to show only suggested friends/groups/events from Italy.
I think that the LOCATION creteria will rock. If EasySocial "knows" the location of the member, then all Groups and Events will be close to the member!
When user login, may see the nearest groups, and other users's stream, and/or suggested friends to add. When the member click on Groups listing, it will be great to see closest groups.
