Joomla Breadcrumbs give 404 error when having a blog with only on category and not showing the category

I have installed EasyBlog and have setup a single category blog. I have hidden the category. If I click on a block entry and then use the breadcrumbs to go back to the blog (top) than I get the 404 error.
The 404 error is because Joomla breadcrumbs is attempt to go to the blog category which does not exist instead of the blog top.

This site is only on my laptop currently in a dev environment.

Any help appreciated.
I am on Joomla 3.4
