Issues when using Single Author EB menus - meta description and RSS setting not respecting menu settings

The title is pretty self-explanatory. My client's authors all have single-author EasyBlog menus to better adapt to the site structure. However, there are two problems:

1) The meta description is being ignored in the menu item and the generic one from Joomla Global Configuration is being used.

2) I can't turn off the RSS feed even though I have it set to "No" in the menu.
