Issue with Jomsocial integration, shows code and often breaks template

I know StackIdeas has come out with easysocial and I do have it and like it, but not ready to commit to the full switch yet.

I have two main issues with the integration of easydiscuss and jomsocial.

1. All styling shows code. I have checked to make sure all plugins were updated. I have included a screenshot.
2. The occasional styling breaks the template on the page that the jomsocial activity stream is. The only solution is to delete the activity in the jomsocial activity monitor. This is obviously not the best remedy.
