Issue types, if set prior to being disabled on the backend, can't be edited but still show up on the front end

The post title basically says it all. Using the latest version of EasyDiscuss. The [ISSUE] tag (which is the post type on my setup) shows up on the frontend. I added some discussions and then decided to turn off the issue type feature. Do I have to re-enable it to edit them and set them to "none", or could it just be fixed so they don't show up on the frontend (e.g., fully disabled).
