Is Password Protection new feature in EasyBlog? Why it doesn't work for my old blogs?

Hi there, I just updated EasyBlog from a very old version published in 2013 to the latest one recently. I posted a new blog on Sunday and found out that public need authentication password to access to the new blog but no need for those old ones. Setting-General-password protection was set Yes default. Is it a new feature in EasyBlog? Why it doesn't work for those old blogs?
