Iphone photo rotation on upload

Hello,

I have attached a screenshot showing 2 photos both taken with my iphone in upright/portrait position. When exif data is turned off the picture is rotated 90 degrees. When exif is turned on the photo is displayed correctly. When exif is on all the exif data is also automatically displayed when viewing the photo.

Is there a way to upload the data so the photo is displayed correctly but hide the exif data when the photo is viewed? Having the data visible serves no purpose on my site so it just makes things appear more cluttered than necessary.
