Interesting news about JoomlArt acquiring JomSocial and iJoomla

I used to use JoomlArt for my templates but found that the support was often almost confrontational and so moved away to another template house. Also, the T3 framework updates frequently broke my existing sites. I suspect they have resolved these issues by now. But... it looks like JoomlArt will no longer have an incentive to create templates that support EasySocial.

I wish I could say that I thought this was good news but I am sad that the Joomla situation is such now that companies like iJoomla are having to be acquired in order to keep their products in development. I see some of the template houses struggling to survive too.

Such is life these days...
