Installing EB^ED on live site

Hi,

While testing installing ED & EB on wamp test through installer - this is observed
a) 2 times EB & ED installed correctly
b) 1 time it failed twice by stucking in between and then on database sync - Could be network issue or what, cant comment

Unsure on how successful will this launcher be on live site.

Now planning to install on live site soon in a day or so
Is it more safer with near 100% success by using - install from folder option
> Download entire package and save as say discuss
> upload in tmp directory
> Use install from folder and install with path ending with tmp/discuss and after installation then can clean tmp directory

Is more safely install in with better chances of success than the launcher method
Lastly if it fails on live site - should i repeat this step
