Installation issues

we are running into problems installing easySocial on our Joomla 3.6.
(Method: 'Installation via Directory', because this intranet server doesn't have an internet connection)
The error given is: 'Sorry, there was some errors when trying to extract the file. Please contact our support team.'

We double checked all file and folder permissions. They are set correctly.
Any help is strongly appreciated
